SDCC '07 Iron Man

The sole reason why I missed so many panels was because of this: IRON MAN.  I heard Jon Favreau speak at a panel and I saw a kickass trailer.  It looks like a promising movie!  I found out that director Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) was going to be signing at the Marvel booth.  I hung out there all morning with my brother and after some luck and eavesdropping, we landed a spot about 10th in line.

This box was covered for the first two days but was unveiled on Saturday.  It's not too big of a mystery what was in it, but it is exciting to be at the unveiling.

Even though the Marvel booth guys wouldn't tell us where they would be signing, It wasn't too difficult to guess which signing booth Jon and Robert were going to be at (duh). 

Hours before the scheduled signing, tons and tons of people crowded into the booth.  There was NO room to move.  Luckily I was in line and ready to leave as soon as it was done.

Here's what the area looked like when they opened the box.  It's the Mark 1!

Here's the close-up.  This was one badass prop.  Looked amazing in person.  The clip shown at the panel had footage of this in action.
